Grand Final: The Compere
Ewan MacLeod
Compering the Voice of 2006 final in the Inchyra Grange hotel will be Ewan MacLeod. Ewan, (34), has been working in the music industry since leaving school. He started as a talent scout with Phonogram Records in London, dealing with bands including INXS, Texas and James. He then moved back to Glasgow and got involved with the show Chartbite which he also presented. He also presented Great Escape on STV before moving to channel four where he was involved with a Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star. Ewan’s tv production company, aaatv, was responsible for televising the first three years of T in the Park on STV. He then moved onto the Sunday Mail where he was a music writer before setting up Scottish radio station Beat 106 which has recently been sold to Capital Radio. Ewan now runs his own record label called Amstaar. The first single to be released under the label will be German Film Star by Rufus G Poindexter.
